Susan's dance background spans over 40 years, which includes formal training at the National Ballet School in Toronto. She has taught throughout Canada, including DancEast Contemporary Dance Company (New Brunswick), and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Among her accomplishments, Susan was commissioned by the CBC and Sesame Street to choreograph segments for television. She also choreographed Canada's premiere production of 'Goldilocks', and the world premiere of the ballet "Emuria and the Unicorn".
Susan’s reputation as a thorough and innovative teacher is long standing, and she is in demand as a guest teacher and adjudicator for dance festivals.
Susan is very proud of her students that have continued to train and perform with Arts Umbrella, Victoria Academy of Ballet, Ballet Jörgen, School of the Alberta Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, National Ballet School, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Goh Ballet, Toronto Dance Theatre, Modus Operandi, and Carnival Cruise Lines.

Jolene began her training at the age of 4 in Vernon, where she studied the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus examinations finishing with Intermediate. She then moved along in the dance world to Armstrong, B.C. where she studied the Cecchetti method and completed the Cecchetti Advanced 1 exam at Armstrong Dance Academy. In 2010 Jolene entered the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Teacher Training Program, where she also taught creative movement, ballet and jazz classes through the Royal Winnipeg Ballet`s Satellite program, as well as classes in the Recreational Division at the RWB.
Jolene has been teaching at Armstrong Dance Academy since 2012!
Ahren has trained in Hip Hop and modern and is pumped to be part of ADA for his 2nd season! His high energy classes will leave you wanting more!
Ahren is also passionate about photography - and loves to photgraph dancers in action.
Emily has been dancing in Armstrong since she was 3! Her training encompassed ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, and musical theatre. During Emily's high school years, she trained in Armstrong Dance Academy's half day ballet program - and successfully completed her Advanced 1 Cecchetti Ballet examination! After graduation, she traveled to Bolivia on exchange, and had the opportunity to participate in many ballet dance intensives. Emily is excited to be back home at ADA and can't wait to teach contemporary dance!
Hip Hop & Tap
Emily has been dancing for 14 years in the Okanagan and has had the opportunity to study at various studios. Her dance training became more intensive the past four years as she became a competitive dancer. She has traveled throughout B.C. to compete and participate in various dance conventions.
Emily is more than excited to share her passion with others and be a part of the ADA team of amazing dancers and faculty!
